 Please Note: ** Application to WCAC Assistance is paid directly to the provider.     **Only one disbursement per heating season.
                                                                                **Requested documentation must   accompany  application.

 

To be considered an emergency distribution, all awarded assistance must be delivered by March 31st.
Extensions can be made at the discretion of the board due to extended cold weather.

**Trouble paying your utility bills**

 

Call the utility company, explain your situation
and ask about a payment plan. 

We have found they are willing to work with you;
it is beneficial for all involved. It pays to be proactive.

Funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists low-income
individuals and families with the cost of heating their homes during the winter season. The program is managed by the Department of Housing and 
Community Development (DHCD) in conjunction with 22 regional nonprofit and local government organizations. Benefits vary depending on income levels.

Citizens Energy Corporation exists to make life’s basic needs more accessible and affordable. The Oil Heat Program offers free heating oil to people in     financial need who can't afford to pay their heating bills. Each eligible household is allowed a one-time delivery per heating season of 100 gallons of home heating oil for free.
